DIY Hair Removal Techniques

  • One and a half teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Two tablespoons of water
  • Spatula
  • Waxing strips

To make the wax, you need to boil the sugar, water, and lemon juice together in a saucepan till the sugar begins to caramelize and reaches the texture of a firm ball. After removing the solution from the heat, you should allow it to cool down till it no longer burns your skin. Then, you can use a spatula to gently spread the sugar wax on the target area, following which you can take it off with a waxing strip.

Papaya mask
For those who want long-term solutions to their body hair problems, a papaya mask may prove ideal. Papaya is laden with an enzyme called papain, which makes the hair follicles on your body significantly weak. Although this method does not provide instant results, with prolonged use, the papain prevents the growth of body hair, leaving you with gorgeous and glowing skin. The ingredients you need for a papaya mask are:

  • One- two tablespoons of raw papaya pulp
  • Half teaspoon of turmeric powder

To make the mask, you need to mix the ingredients well and massage it into the roots of the hair. You have to leave the mask on for about 15 minutes before you wash it off with water. You should do this mask twice or thrice a week for the best results.

Oatmeal scrub
If you have fine facial hair that you wish to remove, a gentle exfoliating scrub made of oatmeal will help you get rid of your this hair. The ingredients that you will need for this DIY hair removal scrub are:

  • Half teaspoon of coarsely ground oatmeal
  • One tablespoon of honey
  • Six-eight drops of lemon juice

For this scrub, you need to mix all the ingredients into a paste and apply it to your problem areas. After leaving it on for 15 minutes, you should massage it into your skin using circular motions before you rinse it off. Do not forget to apply moisturizer after using this scrub.
